Breakfast is a key opportunity for showcasing dairy in all its forms, with
even more inspiration available from how consumers start their days all
over the world. While stateside breakfasts may take the cheese crown for
cheese-heavy dishes like breakfast sandwiches or loaded, ooey-gooey
cheese omelets, many overseas dishes also showcase cheese, such as
Middle Eastern menemen with eggs, tomatoes, and cheese, or North
African shakshuka, which can be amped up with feta, gouda, or even
mozzarella cheese. Yogurt opportunities abound in global breakfast items
such as cilbir (Turkish eggs) that star garlicky yogurt or Middle Eastern
fatteh. Just as in the U.S., global breakfast can also be accompanied by
coffee and tea, which offer milk, creamer, and plant-based opportunities.
